This page says, in plain words, what you may do with a song you unlock in the Religion Relief studio, what you may not do, what publishing adds, and what happens if something goes wrong. It works alongside our Terms and Privacy Policy.
What you get when you unlock a song ($8.88)
Unlocking a song gives you the full-length song, both takes, MP3 and WAV files with your title, and a place for it in your private library. From then on you may:
- play the song anywhere, for yourself, your family and your congregation;
- perform it live in services, gatherings and events, and sing along with it;
- project or print the lyrics for your congregation;
- include it in livestreams and recordings of your services and events;
- post it on your congregation's own channels (website, social pages, video channel) as part of your ministry;
- give it as a gift to someone by name;
- share the files within your family or congregation.
What you may not do
- resell or relicense the song, either take, or the files to anyone;
- claim exclusive rights in the song, or prevent others from making their own songs in the studio;
- upload the song to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music or other streaming stores yourself. If you want it on the stores, use the publishing add-on below so that every Religion Relief release is administered from one distributor account;
- present the song as a recording by human musicians, or remove the AI disclosure when you describe it publicly.
What publishing adds ($5.55, one time)
- We release the song through our distributor account to Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music and the other stores our distributor serves, under the artist name you choose to show on stores (Religion Relief by default).
- You waive royalties from the release; Religion Relief administers it.
- Stores require a real songwriter name. You provide it before checkout.
- You may ask us to remove the release from the stores at any time by emailing hello@religionrelief.com.
- Distributor and store policies on AI-generated content change. Before this license is finalized, the current policies of DistroKid, Spotify and Apple Music must be re-checked. [PLACEHOLDER: policy check date and summary]
Your lyrics
If you wrote the lyrics, they remain yours. Pasting them into the studio only gives us permission to make your song from them and to keep the song in your library. If the studio drafted the lyrics and you edited and approved them, you may use those words in all the ways listed above.
A note on copyright
Copyright law treats AI-generated music differently in different countries, and the law is still changing. We cannot guarantee that a song made in the studio can be registered for copyright where you live. The permissions on this page apply regardless of how the law settles.
Re-take guarantee
The preview is 30 seconds and the full song is longer. If your unlocked song has an obvious defect — a garbled line, a mispronounced sacred name, a cut-off ending — email us within 14 days and we will regenerate it at no charge.
Refunds
- Previews are free and the files are delivered instantly, so song unlocks are non-refundable except for defects covered by the re-take guarantee, or for duplicate charges.
- The publishing fee is refundable if the release has not yet been submitted to the distributor. Once submitted, we can remove the release on request but cannot refund the fee.

How the song is made
Every song here is made with AI. You write or approve every word; the studio composes the music and sings it from your approved lyrics. No song is recorded by human musicians. We say this plainly because you and your congregation deserve to know what you are singing.
